AEG Ergorapido Plus Lithium 2-in-1 BRUSHROLLCLEAN Review - Cordless Freedom

As a resistant cleaner, experiencing the AEG Ergorapido 2-in-1 has revitalised my opinion of cleaning my home. I like to dance, sing, and much to my house-mate's annoyance do the whole 'I want to break free' Queen dance as I clean my flat. Normally I leave him to it, I hate cleaning, but finally, finally, I have found something that makes it not only fun but makes me (the most lazy resistant cleaner on the planet) want to pick up my funky new device and clean my home till it is spotless.

A quick round up of the fabulousness that is the AEG Ergorapido before I get into the nitty gritty and sometimes witty aspects of this fab domestic device.

It is cordless - no more tangling my feet as I dance around my home.

It is lightweight - I can actually do fitness lunges as I clean.

It removes my disgusting mounds of hair from my carpet easily - suction is great!

It easily cleans my stairs as it has a handheld cleaner too.

It is easy to empty.

It swerves around bends and gets into tight difficult spots.

AND more importantly it stores away discreetly and is easy to charge up.

Yes this cleaner is marvellous for the resistant domestic Goddess.

Now cleaning can be a drag to many. Takes up time in a busy day and takes up energy when tired or resistant. The Ergorapido takes all that away.

The Ergorapido is easy to assemble, takes literally no time at all, and you're good to go in a maximum of 4 hours. It comes with this tidy little charging unit that is so discreet you barely notice it in your room.

As someone that has an open plan flat and whose bedroom, living room and dining room is all in the same space, this is essential.

It's charging unit has a wire that plugs into the wall and any excess wire can neatly be stored underneath the unit. The cleaner lives in charging dock and is always ready to use.

The weight of the cleaner is hardly noticeable and the cordless aspect to it is a function that many a domestic Goddess would appreciate. No more tangles around legs or trapping the dog or cat beneath wires and no children tugging for attention.

It lifts out easily and feels very intuitive when holding the handle. And the hand-held cleaner is the perfect size and weight for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.

What I like most about the ease of use of the Ergorapido 2-in-1 is it is perfect for students, the elderly and the generally allergic-to-cleaning people like me. Yes it is wonderful for all households but it really stands out as a device that almost cheers you on to get out of your chair and clean your home. And who knows? You may even get that reluctant teenager to clean their room - if so then this is a miracle device needed by every parent.

Nothing has ever got me out of my chair to clean before and it has even surprised me. My house-mate, needless to say, has sighed in relief that he does not have to do all the cleaning anymore and no more grumbling from me.

As an upright cleaner the Ergorapido has brilliant BRUSHROLLCLEAN technology. And like any well groomed woman my hairs likes to attach themselves to my entire carpet. Prior to using this cleaner, I had to get on my hands and knees and use a brush to remove the hair - not anymore!

It has this fabulous function that removes fibres and tangled hairs from the brush roll and sucks all of it into a dust cup. So no more wasting time cleaning the brush - you just empty the cup - EASY.

The upright cleaner fits into my hand really well, feels like it belongs there and the head of the upright bends in a flexible 180 degree turn that gets into corners, around furniture effortlessly, almost gliding as it goes.

One function that really made me smile (a cleaner has never made me smile before) is it lights up. On the front of the upright it has headlights almost like you would have on a car. This means no need to wait until daylight to clean those darker areas of your home. You can let the headlights point out the area for you and clean at all hours. This appeals to my inner child - it lights up and has headlights - this is very cool!

The upright cleans both carpets and also hard floor surfaces. And it has a nifty little button you can use when on a hard floor surface which actually cleans the brush head for you (only to be done on hard surfaces). It whizzes around food droppings during cooking in the kitchen and when children consistently layer floors with food and other items.

Stubborn human or animal hair, fluff or cotton wool on carpets after painting toe-nails, the Ergorapido 2-in-1 sucks it all up and then you can empty it with effortless ease.

The brush roller on the bottom of the upright self-cleans when on a hard floor by switching on and pressing the foot switch for 5 seconds and this effortlessly cleans the brush of hair and fibres.

All you need to do is pop out the handheld cleaner. Grip the 2 rubber grips on the side and lift away the dirty container. Squeeze the orange clips, pull out filter and empty the dirt container. And hey presto it's clean.

And if you have any excess dust on the filter, pull the little orange knob 5 or 6 times to dislodge it.

Small spaces, behind cupboards, in cupboards, under beds, the swivel head rotates at 180 degrees - ideal for small spaces and those less easy- to-access areas.

Admittedly, one of my main problem areas in my home is my stairs. They are all fully carpetted and steep. So prior to using the AEG Ergorapido 2-in-1, I confess I often deliberately did not clean my stairs. It was a strain on my back and now it is a breeze. In 2 minutes max I was able to clean my stairs with the handheld cleaner and also utilise the BRUSHROLLCLEAN system of the upright cleaner for removing my stubborn hairs and grit from walking it in from the garden. As it is cordless and lightweight it was easy to move up and down the stairs also.

The handheld cleaner was brilliant at cleaning my curtains, my furniture and also along my window-sill which likes to attract insects in the summer. Perfect for cleaning the car and any dry spillages that have happened inside cupboards in the kitchen.

The upright has a power setting than can be adjusted to a high or low suction. Very handy if you have a wooden floor and need to clean a lightweight rug.

Overall, I would recommend this to everyone. Nothing springs to mind why this would not be a useful product to have in the home. It is also a perfect house-warming present for those just married or students off to Uni for the first time. People with physical challenges may find the Ergorapido 2-in-1 really easy to handle too.
